    Neighbouring Communities Participatory Research

Participatory-Action Research Component

It is our hope that others beyond our communities will find inspiration and connection with what is shared in the community document.  For some communities this can make a contribution of hope and ideas for addressing their predicaments. Here in lies an opportunity to share our learning with other communities and to hear back from them.

With the support and encouragement of members of the Neighbouring Communities Joint CommunityTeam, Laura Béres, also a member of the team, applied for funding from King’s University College at the University of Western Ontario. This funding was received for the purpose of developing a component of our ongoing work that could gather the effects of initiatives in our communities in order shape future steps and in order to share our learning with other people.

We invite people visiting this website to post responses to initiatives that they have heard about, or read about in our communities. Your responses will continue to inform next steps and can assist in providing ideas for the team here in Six Nations and Caledonia, but may also touch other people’s lives in other parts of the world. If you would like to remain anonymous, we will not use your name in any further documents, but if you would like your name associated with your ideas, we would gladly acknowledge you.

This is research that belongs to all of us, and helps guide us in next steps. In this approach we are all experts of our own experiences and we all have voice in shaping what we wish to do next.

Submissions can be sent to info@neighbouringcommunities.net
